Mister Spex is one of the 20 most innovative in SMBs Germany

More than 4,000 German companies with an annual turnover between 10 million and 1 billion euros, were examined by the management consultancy Munich Strategy for the study “Innovations-Champions 2021” commissioned by WirtschaftsWoche. 100 “Innovation Champions 2021” were determined from 400 finalists that distinguish themselves as industry leaders and through current innovations. The result: 16th place for Mister Spex!

The basis for the final selection is an “innovation score”, two-thirds of which is calculated from the innovative strength and one-third from the performance of the companies. For the determination of the innovation power, it was examined to what extent companies distinguish themselves through continuous innovations (innovation vitality), whether they are classified as innovative by the market and competitors (innovation perception) and whether they sustainably invest in innovations (R&D & Tech Power). Performance is calculated from sales growth, earnings ratio and EBIT growth over the last four years.

“The most innovative companies create real added value for their customers that goes far beyond the mere product,” explains Barbara Siegert, innovation expert and author of the study, which was conducted for WirtschaftsWoche for the eighth time. “Internal processes or production methods are being improved, traditional business models are increasingly being replaced by customer-centric digital products and services.”

The ranking results were published on the 16th of July 2021 in WirtschaftsWoche (issue 29/2021) and on the 18th of July 2021 at www.wiwo.de
