While our multi-week birthday campaign under the headline “15 Years Optician Expertise” is gradually turning towards the final spurt, we have given our employees a little present. This week we published a special edition of the Spexieletter.
The Spexieletter is our in-house newsletter that summarises current events and updates from the company. It is published once a month and has become an institution at Mister Spex. On the occasion of the 15th birthday, the Spexieletter is based on the look and feel of the birthday campaign, and has some interesting stories in it.
We have many Spexies on board who have been working at Mister Spex almost as long as the company has existed. They have stories to tell that most of the rest of the staff haven’t known about yet. We met and interviewed five Spexies from very different areas.
In the interviews, our Spexies Sandra and Maria talk about long nights at our logistics and distribution centre on Wohlrabedamm in Berlin-Spandau, among other things. Of course it’s also about great human gestures – which our colleague Karin, for example, experienced through our co-CEO Dirk. Karin also reports that she has been with the company for so long that her son now affectionately calls her “Miss Spex”.
Our colleague Joëlle, who is one of our eight campaign faces, talks about how she became the first ever Store Manager at Mister Spex in 2016. In the interview, she traces how many opportunities and possibilities there are at Mister Spex.
In addition to the interviews, we have also summarised the highlights of the past years: The founding, the go-live of the online shop in Germany, the introduction of the virtual 3D try-on or our IPO, just to name a few. In addition, we have collected pictures of the past 15 years. The Spexieletter special edition therefore also contains photos that our Spexies have certainly not seen before.
